Burro Genius by Victor Villasenor
It is a story about a Chicano (a son of a Mexican born in California) growing up in the 50's and 60's. He goes through racism at Kindergarden by teachers.They lectured him to speak English but Spanish was all that he knew so school was very hard for him growing up.Through the time he got better at English but when he was having a perfect life something else happens.His brother is in the hospital and well most likely die and dies.
